Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

This policy explains how Eighty8 Sports (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal information when you visit eighty8-sports.co.uk, place an order or contact us. We are the controller of this information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the items in your basket and any order notes you add at checkout.
  • Custom order details: sizes and body measurements, colours, designs, names, numbers, logos and photos you send us so we can make your item.
  • Messages: what you send us by email or WhatsApp, including your phone number or email address.
  • Technical information: like any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

We do not take card details on this website. Payments are made through a secure payment link, and your card details are handled by the payment provider, not by us.

How we use it and why

  • To confirm, make, deliver and support your order, including returns and faulty items. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To reply to your questions and give quotes, at your request.
  • To keep records of sales for tax and accounting. This is a legal obligation.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent fraud or spam. This is in our legitimate interests.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We only share what is needed, with:

  • our website hosting provider, which stores the site and the orders placed on it;
  • delivery companies, so they can deliver your order;
  • the payment provider that processes your payment;
  • WhatsApp (Meta) or our email provider, when you contact us through them;
  • our production partners, with the details needed to make your item (such as sizes, colours and artwork);
  • professional advisers or authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes. Custom measurements and artwork are kept while we are making your order and for as long as you would reasonably expect us to have them for a repeat order, unless you ask us to delete them. Messages are kept for as long as they are needed to deal with your enquiry or order.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The website stores a small amount of information in your own browser (local storage) to remember your basket and your chosen language. This stays on your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email us at info@eighty8-sports.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before you do.

Children

Our website is not aimed at children. Orders for riders under 18 should be placed by a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
